The Capensis Western Cape Chardonnay is a culmination of eight remarkable vineyards – a balanced, layered, and complex translation of the region’s varied terroir. Tangerine marmalade and Fuji apple aromatics lead you to a rich, mineral palate lifted by lime citrus and bright salinity.
Meticulously crafted from Bordeaux’s ‘Noble Five’ varietals and, with its complex flavours of dark sour cherry, a spiciness of tobacco, and a hint of aniseed, it offers a stylish departure for sophisticated oenophilic tastes.
The Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon, with 8% Cabernet Franc, is selected from a selection of sites on the north-westerly facing slopes of the Helderberg. The wine exhibits richness, texture and a youthful elegance. Wild berry, cassis with spicy notes abound. The tannins are refined, well integrated and suggest the wine has significant ageing potential.
A powerful, long-lived Cabernet Sauvignon that is given the best possible treatment in the cellar. Concentrated cassis, black cherries and some herbaceousness on the nose and palate.
The name de Compostella (meaning “field of stars” or “compilation of stars”) was chosen to reflect the fact that each component is crafted to stand alone as a world class varietal wine.
